This is a clustering monstrous form with upright growth habit,

branching at the base & slow growing.

The plant develops numerous cucumber shapes with long spines.

The stems are a light glaucous green with only a few spiny areoles in the basal portion. The upper part is smooth.

It is very cold hardy
